This policy covers the PUMPLINE game and this website, operated by us
("we"). We are the data controller; reach us via the
contact page. Short version: you can play fully
offline with no account visible to you; the online ladder is optional and
uses the minimum data needed to run a fair leaderboard.
Data we collect
Anonymous account. On first launch with connectivity, the game
creates an anonymous account (a random identifier) so scores and purchases
can be stored server-side. It contains no personal information.
Sign-in (optional). If you join the global ladder — or sign in
on this website — you use Apple or Google. We receive the account
identifier from the provider and link it to your game account so your
name, scores, and purchases are recoverable across devices. We do not
receive or store your password. Your email address, if provided by
Apple/Google, is stored by our authentication provider (Supabase) and is
not shown to other players.
Display name and profile. Chosen by you when joining the
ladder; visible to all players, including on public profile pages at
pumpline.app/p/<name>. Profiles show titles, trophies and ladder
results; you can set your profile to private in the game settings.
Names are screened and can be reported by other players.
Social graph. If you follow other players, we store those
follow relationships to show you their profiles.
Scores and run statistics. Final score, time survived, and
in-run counters, submitted to operate the leaderboards and validated
server-side to prevent cheating.
Purchases in apps. When you buy in the iOS app, Apple sends us
a transaction identifier which we verify with the store and record to
grant your access. We never see your payment details.
Purchases on this website. Web purchases are processed by
Paddle as merchant of record. Paddle collects the data needed to
process payment and comply with tax law (email, payment details, country)
under
Paddle's privacy policy. We receive the transaction identifier and
the account it belongs to — never your card details.
Ads (free mode on phones). The free game mode shows ads via
Google AdMob. AdMob may process device advertising identifiers to serve
and measure ads, per
Google's
privacy policy. On iOS, ads only use tracking identifiers if you
allow it in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. Buying Remove Ads
disables interstitial ads entirely.
This website
Signing in on pumpline.app stores your session in your browser's local
storage (needed to keep you signed in — you can clear it any time by
signing out). We run no analytics scripts and set no tracking cookies.
The shop page loads Paddle's checkout script, which sets what it needs to
process a purchase when you open the checkout.
What we don't do
No selling of personal data.
No tracking across other companies' apps or websites by us — the
only third parties involved are the processors named above, for the
purposes named above.
Where data lives
Game accounts, scores, and entitlements are stored with Supabase
(hosted in the EU, eu-west-1) and our server functions run on Vercel.
Both act as processors for us. Payments live with Paddle (merchant of
record) and Apple respectively.
Deleting your data
In the game: Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes
your account, scores, display name (it becomes available to others), follow
relationships, and entitlement records. Store purchase records remain with
Apple/Paddle per their policies. You can also email us for deletion.
Children
PUMPLINE is not directed at children under 13, and the ladder requires
an Apple/Google account.
